The SmarTone cable locator uses digital signal processing to eliminate noise and false signals when tracing cables. Sensitivity is improved and detection of weak signals is easier. The tester also provides an LED bar graph signal level display that is useful in noisy environment where the tone from a conventional cable toner might not be easy to hear.
This digital tone and probe kit allows you to test wires for continuity, find wires with a tone generator and detector, and test live analog telephone lines for proper wiring.
The SmarTone also includes a LED bar graph signal strength meter. Also compatible with analog tone generators.
Connect the tone generator to one end and find the other end by moving the tone detector near the other end. The cable toner tester is the easiest way to match cable ends at hundreds of feet away or to find a single cable in a bundle. - Warble or steady tone
